There's this band by the name of Parlours. Based in Des Moines, Iowa, it is a relatively new band (they just released their first full length album this month). Now, I may be a tiny bit biased, but I really think this particular band is gonna go places. They have such a cool and unique sound---fun, airy, indie, folky, pop-ish.
Why am I biased?-- you may ask. Well, my cousin happens to be the lead singer. And she is CRAZY TALENTED!! I'm pretty sure she's gonna be a "rock star" some day.
So....... if you're looking for some new tunes and want to help a new band get some recognition then download the new album, All is Here, via iTunes or Amazon. And while you're at it you can download their EP (just titled Parlours) as well because it's equally as wonderful.
