Les Miserables

Les Miserables is one of my favorite stories of all time. And the 1998 film is wonderful, mostly because of Liam Neeson. So I can't decide how I feel about the new version that I just heard about, due to come out this Christmas. It stars Hugh Jackman as Jean Valjean, Russel Crowe as Inspector Javert, Anne Hathaway as Fantine, and Amanda Seyfried as Cossett. I'm a huge fan of both Hugh Jackman and Russel Crowe, but neither of the leading ladies impress me much (oh boy, now I'm gonna have Shania Twain stuck in my head for the rest of the day). And it looks like it's going to be a musical, which I don't know how I feel about.

    I not convinced I'll love it if it's a musical. I think maybe it's Anne Hathaway singing in the trailer? I'm not a huge fan of her voice. But maybe the acting and the cinematography will make up for it.

    Thanks for the info. I am looking forward to it! Perhaps it will be the movie for us to go to this Christmas as a family.

    i'm excited for this! the musical kinda drags some on stage, but maybe in a movie it won't so much. hugh jackman doesnt even look like himself! and i think amanda seyfried has a beautiful voice. and anne hathaway just breaks my heart in this trailer.
