Summer Update

I thought I'd give you all an updated version of my summer to do list. Some things have gone exactly according to plan; others, not so much.

T 1.Take classes (Adolescent Literature and ???)
2. Get a job, any job.......................................................Ok, this one deserves a bit of an explanation, especially to those of you who follow me on Facebook. I did get a job, but unfortunately it didn't work out long term. I started working at a company called "Midwest Regions", calling people who had purchased our product (an air cleaning system) to see how they like it. I also called people who are friends of a new owner of the product that they thought might be interested in the product. That was my first day on the job, and it went really well. Everyone was friendly, easy to get along with, and I also had great ours (4 hours a day, 3 days a week). However, the second day of work is when it all went down hill. I had to go through the phonebook and call people to conduct a survey. This survey was to find out (in a round about way) whether that person might be interested in our product. Then, someone else would call that same person the next day and do a sales pitch. Also, I found out that I wouldn't be making as much money as I had originally thought. Well, all of this certainly didn't sit well with my conscience. I felt bad for, not only bothering people with an unexpected phone call, but then following it up with a survey that is an invasion of their privacy. I certainly would be extremely upset if someone called me asking the same questions that I had to ask. I am someone who is passionately against the invasion of privacy, so I was forced to quit my job on moral/ethical problems. So, back to the drawing board job wise......
